The weather forecast was totally wrong in Tampa, Florida. We were worried about "Thunderstorm" forecast on Labor Day weekend, but it turned vain. We enjoyed the vacation under the almost perfect weather.
Vacation? Wasn't it for a soccer tounament? Yes, it was, at least untill the Saturday afternoon, when we were defeated by Minnesota.
We unusualily played twice against them because Miami, another team in our box, didn't appear on the field, and the tournament was double-elimination.
We did rather good at the first game, though edged by 0-1 against the champion-to-be team. But the second game...nothing to say. We were tired. The flights were delayed on the day before, and some of us arrived at four in the morning of the tournament. To make matters worse, the weather forecast was totally wrong: very fine, hot and humid.
However, I have to say that Minnesota was a very good team. Especially in their offence, they had a really good skill: one-two killer pass. They made lots of critical chances by this seems-to-be-easy strategy.
As for myself, I played as a substitute, only to make no specific chances. At least my hamstrinng was not cramped until the end of the tournament.
Anyway, we swum a lot in the ocean and the swimming pool at the hotel. I wish I could take a picture in the water. We really had fun as you can see in the pictures we took on the shore.
I heard we are going to play indoor for the next few months. Wish our good luck.
